In the summer of 2006, the team ventured into the french alps in search of some bigger, harder water and much, much beer. They were not dissappointed and found themselves soon running grade 5's here there and everywhere. So as the team set off, they were in Dover by the time they first got bored and decided to pimp the van.
The team spent most of their days either chilling or playing at Embrun Wave, on the mighty, mighty Durance:
Occasionally, the team got a bit scared running all these grade 5's (mostly 5+ acually, possibly grade 7+ at times) so they had to bust out some big boats so they could go even bigger:
Even when they didn't go canoeing, the team still found a way to stare danger straight in the face when they saw this bridge and couldn't think enything more enjoyable than to jump off it*
We also had a fun trip to Chateaux Q, but as the river is about half as wide as an average kayak, we didn't manage to take any pictures, but we did get this one of us walking back to the cars!!
And chris running a particually nasty drop on Guardian Angel, below Chateaux Q, apparently there is a cave behind the rock, I think some of Kev's mates went to try and find it at one point, but didn't quite manage it.

The team were hoping to make it to Austria too, but due to technical reasons, and in no way due to any of Marks actions the van was out of action and we last saw it on the back of a recovery truck in the middle of France!
Overall, an enjoyable holiday was had and there wasn't even a trip to the hospital, therefore it was decided that we were not trying hard enough, and next time we go away we need at least two trips to hospital. Oh and I made a video too, this is the shortened version, as the origional lasts about as long as it takes me to read a book, or how long it took us drive there in the first place:
*the team still holds Lou responsible for making everyone jump, we just about had chris talked out of it until you jumped!
